Project Challenges
The design needed to fit comfortably within the existing property while coordinating setbacks, fire access, drainage, utility connections, and existing site conditions. The ADU also needed to integrate with the main residence without disrupting the established character of the property.
Our Design Solutions
A compact, efficient floor plan organizes the living and kitchen spaces around two private bedrooms while maximizing natural light through large exterior openings. A simple 3:12 roof form, stucco exterior, and complementary finishes allow the ADU to visually relate to the existing home while remaining a distinct secondary residence.
